We’re thrilled to announce a book based on the results of 10 years of scientific studies of trilobites led by the St. Petersburg Paleontological Laboratory team.
In the last 20 years, we found and prepared more than 18,000 specimens of Russian Ordovician trilobites. For our book, we carefully selected several specimens to represent each species. We are proud to say that when working on the book we had access to the largest collection of specimens of Russian Ordovician trilobites in the world.
This book is among the most complete publications about trilobites of the Saint Petersburg region. It features the latest descriptions of a total of 209 Russian Ordovician trilobite species, with more than 100 species being described for the first time, and contains many high-quality pictures of complete specimens, not fragments.
The book provides almost all available information on trilobites of the St. Petersburg region, as well as on Ordovician stratigraphy and paleontology. You will also find more than 1,600 publications in the reference list.
Additionally, the book offers a reconstruction of each trilobite along with a table of keys allowing you to easily identify your specimen.
